This was a very fun shoot! The weather was terrible that day, and by the time we were ready to start shooting it was pouring. We decided to go to the location and see what happened, not really wanting to re-schedule. We got to the location, the sun came out, and the weather was clear for the entire shoot. I was very thankful. The colors were vibrant, even though the ground was so soggy!

You may be asking yourself, “What is a senior rep, and what does it involve?”

For starters, how does a free senior photo shoot, food, and fun sound? I am looking for soon-to-be seniors, who are outgoing and kind, to advertise for Cloudy Day Photography by being yourself! You will receive a free senior shoot, including makeup and hair, and will then receive little personalized cards to hand out to your friends, and other people at school, showing a photo of you, and also including my business information.

Aside from this, I would like to do a group shoot with all of my senior reps, involving snacks, fun props, and good times. Have a fantastic experience making lifelong memories, and taking photos that will last a lifetime, and end your high school career with a bang!

I was feeling antsy to do something creative, so I asked Katie to model for me, on a shoot involving freezing water! It was so pretty. She brought a gorgeous pink lacy dress, and I made a pink head dress for her to wear.

I was in the mood to be creative, so I asked a friend to model for me. Found an awesome dress, some lace, andsome flowers, and went to work. It was fun doing the hair and makeup, and talking over jewelry and hair styling. Rarely do I get to be a part of every aspect of the wardrobe and the photo shoot, and it was really awesome. We both had all of our kids with us, which made it a little crazy, and we all ended up dirty and covered with burs!! Totally worth it, though!

This was so much fun! Freezing…My goodness was it freezing, but fun. We had been hoping for snow for our shoot, and had sort of given up on that idea, but picked a time for it. By the time I got there big snowflakes were coming down, and it snowed the entire time. I love how snow makes everything seem silent and magical. At one point during our shoot a big buck deer wandered slowly past, like something out of a fairy tale.

For this shoot we wandered endless, beautiful trails. The weather was perfect, and this girl has some great style. It was fun having her mom along. We three laughed, and talked, and enjoyed the day.

Winter comes with a sweeping grace

My friend Rachel and I collaborated on a Winter themed shoot. I absolutely love working with her, and brainstorming creative ideas. Our model was amazing. She was out in the freezing cold, and didn’t even complain, and still managed to be graceful and beautiful despite her frozen feet. Here is one shot from the shoot. I will post more soon.

I really enjoyed this shoot. I have known Alex’s stepmom for years, and I have loved seeing her family grow. Alex is a smart, sweet young lady, and I’m excited to see where life takes her. We also had perfect weather for this shoot, which always helps. ;)
