Oh, wow. I love ghost towns. I wish I had known years ago that there was such an awesome one so nearby. When I heard that this senior liked antiques and old buildings I started researching it.
The town is called Buncom, and there are only 3 remaining buildings. The drive out there was beautiful as well. The weather channel was predicting rain for that day, and I was worried the shoot wouldn’t work out, but it ended up being perfectly cloudy, with a touch of sun, and warm enough to be comfortable.
Karlie was the perfect subject for such a pretty place, and it was great getting to spend some time with her, exploring. It was so pretty and peaceful one could almost forget you were so close to civilization, until, of course, a car would pass.
It was a blessing to do this shoot, and so refreshing. Thank you Karlie and Laurie for a lovely afternoon!
