We definitely got some weird looks, lugging a big ol’ bear skin around Lithia Park and other places in and around Ashland, but did we care? Nope, nope, nope. Worth it!!

Lauren did wonderful turns as Shakespeake’s Ophelia (from Hamlet) and a bearskin-clad wanderer. Perhaps the same character; perhaps not. Watch as she wanders through the river, lost in thought, until she finds her resting place in peace.

Shoutouts to Clark Taxidermy and Ponsonby Vintage for the bearskin and dresses!

The quote for this Shakespeare-inspired photo shoot could only come from (surprise!) Yeats:

“The wind blows out of the gates of the day,
The wind blows over the lonely of heart,
And the lonely of heart is withered away;
While the faeries dance in a place apart,
Shaking their milk-white feet in a ring,
Tossing their milk-white arms in the air;
For they hear the wind laugh and murmur and sing…”
– W. B. Yeats
